After some fighting with various pieces of software I’ve managed to produce a score of Hidden Places, available for download. After struggling with Rose Garden and LilyPond I ended up importing the MIDI file into NoteFlight and printed out to PDF.
I’ve completed the music for Ludum Dare which is up on my Soundcloud page. It’s title Hidden Places and has a very sinister feel to it.
It’s taken a lot longer than planned but I’ve just released a version of the Game of Thrones soundtrack, written by the incredibly talented Ramin Djawaldi. It’s using the same guitar quartet I used on the Dream by Day EP.
Last weekend I had the fortune to be part of Glasgow’s third and final Composition Marathon, hosted by Chris Glasgow of the Scottish Music Centre.
Just before Nasoalmo I tried out a mix of free amp simulators. I wanted to see what kind of guitar sounds I could get from a direct line into the computer using an amp sim, rather than micing up my sturdy Marshall amp.
On I completed my Nasoalmo 2013 entry, titled Dream by Day.
Yesterday I completed my first track for this year’s Nasoalmo, titled He Sees Roses.
At this rate my Nasoalmo album for this year is going to be made entirely of snippets from Figure.
Another quick composition using Figure.
Thanks to Frankie at Autocratik I’ve been messing around with Figure, which is a simple synth for iOS.
