The Great Self-published Fantasy Blog-off Review

My first self-published novel, Knight’s of Elevar, has been reviewed by Bob Milne as part of the The Great Self-published Fantasy Blog-off. It looks like I won’t be going through to the next round but I’m really pleased with what he has to say.

First Day

The first day is almost over and it’s been fairly productive. Artwork was tricky but that’s my major weak spot. I haven’t quite got all of the things I wanted done but it’s pretty close. Tomorrow will be spent doing some character animations, some music and polishing the game play.

All of the code and the design doc is publicly visible on my github page, which I’m going to keep updating as I go: https://github.com/stoogoff/ld32

My Idea Maybe Too Complicated

After going through various ideas of 2D beat-em ups involving clowns battling with daffodils, lawyers sueing each other or fighting off zombies with household implements (a la Shaun of the Dead) I’m settling on something I’m calling ABC Worriers1.

Fuel for the day and the totemic mug of the web developer.

An Unconventional Weapon

From Wikipedia: Unconventional weapon may refer to:

Ludum Dare 32 Theme

This theme has just been announced and it’s An Unconventional Weapon. Hmm, that’s one that I had no real opinion on. I may need to get out my thinking brain for this!

Ludum Dare 32 Voting

OK! Ludum Dare 32 starts in about and my votes are in!
